Should the G8 become the Chevy Camaro SS Sedan?

Yeah, you read that right, Chevrolet Camaro SS Sedan. If there can be a BMW M3 sedan why not a four-door Camaro?
The Camaro and the G8 already share a platform and although their engines aren't exactly the same they're pretty close. Leave the Impala for family duty and keep the rebadged G8 what it should be -- a full fledged sport sedan.

id say keep it but not as a camaro... how bout a new name or sumthing... i do like it but i have a personal hatred against that badge

yeah...keep that car for god sakes....an american(sorta) german killer....hells to the yeah....but not as a camero...bah....

That car looks badass.
I really like the rear end and the front end is decent, I just prefer the hood vents of the Pontiac G8 over that piddly hood scoop.

Camaro SS wouldn't be a bad idea.

Make it a Chevy, but don't sully the Camaro nameplate.

And another pet peeve.

SPELL CAMARO RIGHT PEOPLE!!!!

It is CAMARO

Not CAMERO.

Let it be the new Impala and kill the lame-duck FWD Impala we have now. This car is available from a bare-bones yet respectable V6 sedan all the way up to a pavement scorching 400+hp V8 BMW killer, so there'd be an Impala for everyone's taste.

There's never been a Camaro sedan and there never should be, much in the same way the BMW 6-series or 8-series coupes have never been sedans. The M3 is available as a sedan because the chassis it's based on is designed to be both.

A new name would be good for it. The Impala name is too dirtied to use on a sedan like this. Commodore... eh. Monte Carlo?

not a camaro, wouldnt be right in my mind but it definitely needs to be re-badged as chevy

Monte Carlo? Talk about dirtied... Probably not a good idea to resurrect a name that Chevrolet ruined so badly. But, I guess they are re-using "Camaro" after they ran the last F-body into the ground...

I like this idea.(2thumbs)

I don't see why they just couldn't call it a Chevelle SS.
Or bring back the Nova in RWD form. I'd hit it.
Too small for Impala.
And please, never a Camaro four-door, it's just so wrong.

And I don't care what people think of mullett-haired Z28 owners, I am
seriously considering the Camaro as my next car.

IMO the new Camaro isn't dragging along the baggage of the previous Camaro, which, frankly, looks best up on blocks in front of a trailer. Going fast in a straight line was it's only redeeming quality and I was glad to see it go before they further bastardized it.

My roommate is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the convertible so he can go place his order for a Victory Red 2LT with the RS Package, 20" SS wheels and the black Rally Stripe Package. Good looking car. Hope they actually make the convertible.
