70k is only a lot when all other expenses and debts are nonexistant. things like student loans, mortgages, a nice solid retirement account, all come into play so while it may sound like a lot, and any way you slice it it's not bad, expenses make it so it's not as good as it sounds

No s***, I have a Wife 3 kids (one in college and one in High school) and I made 72k last year (with overtime.)
My Wife made another 52k and we have high ass bills just like anybody.
We also put over 10% away into investments but with 5k a year for medical insurance, 800 a month for food, 1800 per month for housing, and the crazy ass price of fuel that money goes quick not to mention the ass raping we take on taxes not just us but every American that is.
Anyway good luck with your car and pay one of those fuckers off will ya

(hahaspit) my husband and I are both in that range. He has a cavalier and I have a protege, pretty far from a Lexus IS-F.
