Should I take it in?

Long story short...

I was sitting at a red light and an ambulance and police car decided to come by squeezing between my car and the car next to me on the left. Moved to the right a little too far for the ambulance to get through and scratched the right front and read TIRE (not rims) along the curb.
There is a noticeable mark/ streak on both front and rear right side tires. The right front has a deeper and longer scratch/ streak.

Should have waited for the light to change green before I moved over, only got about 5500KM on it and the tires are scratched :(

Greatly appreciated if anyone knows how to repair or make the scratch go away.

You want to take your car in for a tire scuff? Wash tire, apply tire black of some sort. What would you expect them to do for you if you took it in?

No, if there is an ambulance behind you trying to get by DON'T wait for the light to change to move. As far as I'm concerned traffic laws are out the window in this circumstance. If there are no cars coming I am going through the red.

Agreed

Also, I am pretty sure you cannot repair tire damage when it is located on the sidewall. At least that is what I have always been told by tire shops.

I would do what Nodnerb recommends for spiffing up the cosmetic scuffs on the tires. Nothing to dealer can do except replace the tires.

You should actually have the tires checked, my daughter ended up with a flat after borrowing a friends car that he had scratched the tires on a curb a couple of days earlier. They looked fine for the first few days and then one flattened.
