Should I cancel my extended warranty?

That's because Mercedes quality is crap and repairs/parts are sky high. I have bought one Mercedes, and one extended warranty in my life, and Mercedes certainly didn't make any money on that one. Replaced supercharger, ignition system twice, entire sunroof, plus many sunroof repairs, and a bunch of other crap. When the extended was about to end, the car was gone. Never again. Mazda reliability and repair cost makes the extended warranty, especially for that price, silly.

I used to work for Mazda and I now work for Mercedes if you plan on putting that many miles on a car I would suggest getting the extended warranty. All cars no matter how great the quality or price are bound to have some problems once they get higher mileage on them. It is like a safety net for that just in case, you would kick yourself if some major repair came about and you didn't have one. I will say this though I would wait to get an extended warranty once it got a little bit closer to the end of the factory warranty in case you end up not keeping it for as long as you may have thought.

Thats exactly what am saying Lilzoom...
I dont think at 36000 miles u should really need anything major done on a car, unless u beating the crap out of the car..
i had a madza 6s for 4years and had 45,000mils on there, before i got my speed3 now in november 07 and i didnt have to do anything but brakes and oil change on that car..
i only had 5000 miles left before my warranty ran out,but knew i wasnt gonna keep that car so here is an incident where i was happy i didnt take out any extended warranty..

And now with this speed 3 i have am not doing any mods besides the cobb SRI and maybe a blow off valve until my waranty is up at the 3yrs/36,000
anything goes wrong before that its all on the dealer..

If it does make you feel any better I paid about the same for my extended warranty when I picked up my 2006 Mazda3 about a year ago. So you didn't get ripped off by the dealer that is average cost for a extended warranty. If you plan on having the car for awhile I would just keep it better safe than sorry since you already bought it. If your not so sure cancel it get your cash back and worse case scenerio you end up re-purchasing it later on.

Hey this wasn't about quality... ;) And besides I like it when the cars break down warranty or customer pay.. I get paid the same either way :). And I 100% agree, DO NOT BUY AN AFTERMARKET EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had purchased an extended warranty on my last car. Two weeks after it expired, the front right wheel bearing went out. $660 bucks (hand)
