Sho's 2007 MS3

Valves cleaned, cp-e safe seals,OCC , New Valve cover thanks to Evan, freshly painted IM, PTE 5858, cp-e exhaust mani, precision 46mm ewg, Kozmic screamer pipe, Kozmic primary egr delete, secondary o2 sensor delete, and hawkeyegeoff 3port EBCS all installed this weekend.

Thanks to Patrick, Jakey, and Denver for everything!

Love the way the engine bay turned out. Thanks again to Evan #1 for hooking me up with the wrinkle black valve cover, and to Patrick for doing the previously ugly white intake manifold in wrinkle black as well.

Don't mind the dirty battery/tray, intake, and random walnut media all over. It shall be cleaned and detailed after winter ends.

I don't care what Will says, wrinkle black is the fastest color. Looks great, buddy.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

Update time:

This setup flows incredibly well. So well in fact; that on a 9psi wastegate spring, and 0% Wastegate Duty Cycle, I can hit 24psi. So standard hybrid tuning is out the window, and Mark is going to have to control boost with the throttle plate. I feel bad that it's gonna be a pain in the ass the tune, so I'll be supplying Mark with substantial quantities of craft beer to keep him sane!

Revision 4 of the tune as of last night. 20.5psi and 13.5 degrees of timing at 7krpm. Car feels strong as hell. Once mark dials in the fueling and timing, I'll have him whip up a low boost 93 octane tune for when I travel away from e85 stations. Otherwise, 3/9 ethanol/93 mix will always be in the car

Moar Update:

Borrowed Jake's EWG and that solved the crazy overboost issue. Got my replacement Diaphragm and Valve assembly from PTE yesterday, and will be rebuilding it tonight after class.

Also now that the EWG thats on the car is working, got a new map from Realgib3; yesterday and took a log on the way to class today. the car is doing what he's telling to do for once, so that's a relief.
Here's a poopy vdyno to show what the car is making on very conservative timing and low boost until higher RPM. Can't wait til she's dialed in!

Another update, since things are moving quickly now that all my hardware is fixed:

I haven't had a 93 octane tune for this turbo due to the fact that one bad tank of gas + detonation = zoom zoom boom. So we've been tuning a 3 gallon mix of e85. We'll be stepping down to a 2 gallon mix on the next revision as my head is moving so much air that I'm running out of Injector headroom. Mark said he's never seen a stock head flow as much as mine does, which is kinda cool lol. But stepping down to a 2 gallon e85 mix should keep enough ethanol in the tank to keep octane high enough to prevent detonation from poor quality 93 octane and give us some more headroom up at the top of the Rev band where I'm currently running out of fuel

Final result. Very pleased with the power, and maybe I'll push it further once I get a 2nd car and more fuel (meth or 6th port)..

For Valentine's day and my birthday, I got myself moar parts. 1950psi Rail relief valve, mazdaspeed coilovers, and whiteline adjustable front & rear endlinks are on their way!

You aren't ******* around with endlinks anymore, huh? ;)

Those coilovers look sexy.
