hey whats up im lookin for a short throw similar to the nismo short throw..comes w/a very very short throw and it just kinda clicks into place.. i think its mad cool....any shifters for the msp that has the "click" motion

click motion...
3 choices of short shifter for the MSP 4th coming soon...
kartboy.com
Twmperformance.com
and B&M short shifters i bought mine from protege5online.com
and by the way SEARCH

the B&M comes with an aftermarket metal bezel for the ball to sit in, i will be picking one up for that purpose, also look for KARTBOY shifter bushings, and maybe change over to some synthetic tranny fluid, some see improvements, some don't, it's up to you. too bad our shifters are so bad, i really think that a nice smoothe shifter would have tied up the car ingeneral VERY well

everyone that runs through the gears in my car absolutly loves my shifter. short in height and perfect throw. you know a company that makes products for a few select cars will take more time to pay attention to the details. its up to you though man.

hmm, never heard of it, can you link us up to any specs and what not? or just speal out info here on the board

PS: hey black majik, this is the first time i've beat you to a post in a while.

Kartboy.... those guys make awesome stuff. :thumbs-up:

Does that mean that your setup (B&M with Kartboy bushings and Corksport bronze oil bushings) gives that "clicking" action? I really like that, too.

how well would our stock knob fit on there? Also which color would look the best you think?

Kartboy makes a shifter that is threaded to fit the MSP shift knobs but you need to specify. I have the Kartboy SS with the Knuckleball shift knob and the poly shift bushings and it is greatly improved. Bushings are one of the best mods for this car for the price.

im looking into buying that set 105 bucks for lever and bushing is great deal I think but I want my stock shift knob to work, one question does it rattle or knock at all. Most short shifters make LOTS of noise.

yes ofcourse :)

does the B&M match up with the shift boot? like does the knob touch the boot or will it show metal (like it did when i have my protege ES shiftknob? befoer the dealer could find me my MSP one)

mazdaspdprotege, why did you switch from kartboy to b&m short shifter? I have had b&m in the past and they rattle.

Also nobody answered if the kartboy rattles or not. Same with any of the shortthrows do they rattle?
