short throw shifter

I got a B&M for Christmas and I'm dying to find time to install it. Friday looks like a good day, I'm getting annoyed at hitting the e-brake with my hand when I shift into 2nd and 4th.

gettin twm sometime soon, got a birthday on sunday. so what else should i get with it other than kartboy bushings.

I have a few B&M shifters for the protege right now for sale. if you'd like one let me know they are $90shipped in the 48states. brand new in box

whats the difference between b and m and twm other than the height of the shifter. i want the smallest throw as possible.

I couldn't tell you the difference. I've only used the pacesetter and the msp. I've heard the b&m is real nice though. also, I can get any other B&M shifter for any other car if you guys know of anyone else looking for them.

well according to specs and specs only, because I can only attest to the TWm cause thats the only one I have used, the TWM has the shortest throw for the Protege I beleive but not by much, and the B&M is second if I'm not mistaken.

thanks and supercharge matty i can check with some of my friends to see if they want a short throw shifter and it doesn't matter what car because its a wide range of cars. is the pricing around $90. is it a $10 difference from the other car companies, such a short shifter for a honda.

I don't know, pricing is different for each model. get me a model and year and I'll get you a price....for instance a newer mustang GT shifter is abour $147shipped.

The 'shortest throw' is not necessarily the best shifter though.

my kartboy makes it feel like a racing car! I just wish it were a bit higher to lessen the amount my arm has to move, but it does look cool when it's so short. beware if you have long legs and/or short arms you might have trouble reaching for the shifts into 3rd and 5th without sitting uncomfortably far forward.

yeah i know, but i like the look of the shifters height. if its not what i like then i'll switch it out for b and m or even try kartboy out and see. i didn't want to get b and m because i think once its in, that its in for life.
