For the first ~1000 miles of driving there was more effort required. Now that mine's broken in it's much smoother, nearly as easy as stock (minus the lost leverage). But yes mine did the same thing. It'll get nicer. Feels really great now.mopiko said:Hey SS guys I've just installed my Kartboy today and realize the shifting action became harder than before, it's not as smooth as my stock one is it suppose to be like that?
I've try to do the bushing but ran out of sunlight so I retighten the bolt back, could this hard shifting be the fact that I over tighten the bushing bolt? Thanks in advance.
Because it's a shorter shifter and throw you'll naturally need more effort to shift. I guess it'll "break in" after some time, but I think that just basically means that you get used to the new shifter and the amount of force you're shifting with.mopiko said:Hey SS guys I've just installed my Kartboy today and realize the shifting action became harder than before, it's not as smooth as my stock one is it suppose to be like that?
You're talking about the Kartboy bushings and the bolt holding the stock bushing for the shifter housing linkage? If so, the tightening of this bolt wouldn't affect that.mopiko said:I've try to do the bushing but ran out of sunlight so I retighten the bolt back, could this hard shifting be the fact that I over tighten the bushing bolt?
