Just wondering if anybody has gotten their hands on a 2010 mazda 3 shop manual, my dealer says they dont exist.....I guess their service dept. must be at the skill level where manuals are'nt required !! (uhm)

i'm sure there is a 'dealer' book, perhaps specific to the car, perhaps not (component based, but i doubt it). i'm sure he's thinking you mean a vendor book (like Haynes). the care is too new...i'm betting they don't bust one out for at least a year or two.

Hmmmm... well I never had a problem getting one from the VW dealer...they were nice fat Bentlty publication manuals, the same ones that their service dept. used. So how are Mazda sevice departments looking up clearances,tolerances and other vital specifications, not to mention disasembly and re-assembly of all the vehicles components???

they may indeed have those. but what i was saying is that i'm betting the guy that you asked was thinking you wanted the toned down version. they probably can't sell those anyways. i can't even imagine why, like it holds some vital info no one else can know, but they probably can't (or won't). ask anyways.

The 2009 mazda 3 and speed manual are availiable for 185.00 ..I'm lookin for the 2010, not the blueprints to the friggin space shuttle !

Thats pretty strange since shop manuals are what the mechanics use to service the cars. Prolly want to encourage you to spend obscene amounts of money to do simple repairs on your car at the dealership. I've purchased several shop manuals for my bikes and vehicles over the years. Maybe call another dealership and see what they have to say or email Mazda.
