Shifter Bushings

Hello all,

Would like to first say that this is a cool site. I am a member of Http://www.mazdaworld.org, but the site is so dead it takes weeks to get an answer. Anyways I need some shifter bushings. My shifter is losser than a goose. When in gear you can slap the shifter completely from one side to the other. That does sound like Shifter Bushings doesn't it? Anyways where can I find the best set, and I have also been warned somewhat that I may have to drop the exhaust to do such a repair. All I want is cleaner shifts!!! Anyways thankyou for the help in advance.

Later,

Bart

Thankyou all. I will be ordering the bushings sometime soon. I will tell you guys how the install went. Thankyou for your help. (yippy)

awww bummer anyways I thought I found another company that sold bushings for 1st Gens for $30.00, and they were self lubricating!!!! Anyways wish I could remember where I saw that. Maybe it was Cork Sport. That would be the way to go. Anyways lol I went to Advanced Auto looking for bushings and they said they didn't carry them so I figured it was an after market part, but guess not obviously they were on the car from the factory. Oh well. Later

yup well with my old age I haven't completely lost my memory. Corksport.com sells Bronzeoil bushings in sets of 4. They are self lubricating and cost $30.00

The shifter bushings for sure, then probably the linkage. I already have Gro Harlem's stabalizer bushings so I hope they don't send those.(group)

indeed...when i put the tie bars on im gonna put on wils stabalizer bushings. i was just too fed up with my car during the header install to put them on then

They're not too hard, the first thing I did to my car when I got it in August. I guess getting the old bearings out might be annoying, but, eh.
