Shifter bushings availiable for P5

are the kartboy bushings and Corksport Bronze Oil Bushings the only ones availiable for the P5?

I already have the kartboy ones.. but checking if there are any others like the corksport bushings that fit directly under the shifter.

any help would be awesome!

thanks.

Both work together and are awesome. Get's rid of that notchy feeling [which I really didn't mind so much].

The Corksports fits directly under the shifter and also towards the forward linkage point.

I'm not aware of any alternatives to the Corksport bushings. Doesn't mean there aren't any.

I had everything purchased from Corksport, sent to a relative [who's ordered from Corksport] in the US and then shipped up here via USPS.

Corksport I believe uses UPS which kills any savings b/c of brokerage fees when shipped to Canada.

SR Motorsports sell them, but they're Corksport "rebranded".

If you look for bushings, look for MX-3 or Ford ZX2 products as well, as our shifter assemblies are very similar...

Maz1.8T on the Club Protege Forum makes nylon bushings that are exact replacement types for the Corksport Bronzeoil bushings. They fit the change control rod at both the gear shift lever end and the transmission end.

what is the difference between the corksport and kartboy bushings? i mean, if i buy the corksport, will buying the kartboy as well be a waste? is it one or the other, or both?

The Kartboy is on the "tranny side" shifter support.

The Corksport is on the shifter rod itself (what connects the shifter to the tranny as you row through the gears).

Two different products; compatible, and complimentary. So it's both or one or the other (take your pick).

Sounds like good stuff.

The Corksport bushings should work for all gens. of the Protege/323/ZX2, et al (anything that shares the shifting linkages).

The Kartboy bushings are designed for the 3rd gen only.
