Shift Knob - MAZDA 2

MAZDA 2 - Just wondering if anyone changed their shift knob? If so what brand? Was it an easy install?

I bought a civic si look a like knob for mine. pretty simple. unscrew stock and screw on new one. Found mine on Ebay.
Looks like this ....
but has 5 speed shift pattern on top.

I'm using a stock leather 96 Integra shift knob. It's a bit taller, but a lot lighter, shift feel is still good. I'm very surprised with how heavy the stock knob is actually.

I've been driving with a cheap (ish) leather B&M knob that I got at a local parts store. I think one with a similar weight and shape to the stock one, but covered in leather and without the awful shift pattern bubble that looks like it came from Toys R Us, would be really nice.

probably aroudn 300gm. I've got a 400gm Razo and a 340gm Razo thats on there right now.. it's just about the perfect weight.

Oh, I never posted my newer knob here. I got a Stainless one from Garage Star. Pretty awesome shift knob, nice and heavy, and looks great in the car.

The gap really isn't noticeable in person, by the way.

I fixed my gap with a little electrical tape.. a few wraps around the shaft.. just enough to friction fit the collar of the shift boot over it... Worked a charm.

That's actually not a bad idea. I like being able to wrap my hand around the knob, though. I've actually been thinking of getting a short (like 1") extension for it.
