This is our new pup Shawny. She is a 1-2 year old female Akita that we adopted 2 weeks ago. She was found as a stray in Bucks County, NY. How anyone could let this dog go is beyond imagination. We have only ha her a short time but we know that we could never give her up.

dude, I'm glad to see that there are still good people out there that care for animals. We've got two dogs that we adopted from petsmart. She's a sweet lookin dog.
I can't stand assholes that abuse animals.

I got my dog from a dalmation rescue. He was abused and wore a collar two sizes too small. He's happy as hell now, VERY personable and mushy. I've got pics at home that I havent downloaded yet of when he wanted to "play" with my sons hamster. lol

I had a friend that had an akita/chow mix. That thing was hell on two paws. He would've given Cujo a run for his money! VERY agressive big ball of fur.

She is a really weird case. She is very well trained and very loving. There is no sign of abuse at all in her past, just a lack of formal training. My only guess is she was an old persons dog that died and she got out and ran off.

You know, cats have their tails up half the time too. But I guess their bungs arent big enough to notice.

And my dog's tail is either down or straight across, not up, but he's a different breed. The only time you see it is when he's licking himself back there. Every time I catch him, I yell NO!!!! He likes to go to town on it. I wish I could pour some hot sauce or something on that so he'd stay outta his ass. Maybe its a fettish. I know all dogs do it, but damn, he licks it so much it's almost like he thinks his ass is made out of ice cream.
