I thought I posted this a long time ago... but I can't find it. so here it is.

The DIY instructions should be pretty self explainatory.

I was thinking about fashioning one from a car that actually had one and cutting and mounting it to where it should be on our cars

I thought about doing that instead, or picking up one from an ES and retrofitting it with LEDs, but this was the cleanest option available. looks absolutely stock until the brake lights are on, because you can't see anything through my tint unless you're REALLY looking for it.

Here's what I did with mine:

so you did bunches of three or four in parallel? smart. did you put any resistance in aside from the wiring?

I put 3 in series for each group and wired those groups in parallel. The one odd man out got a resistor. I actually need to redo the wiring, because one of the terminals broke, so I lost a group.

what made you decide to do that? its kind of a strange setup. whats the voltage drop on those? youre not gonna tell me its 4.5 volts per diode, so why wouldnt you do resistors on each bunch, as well as the odd man out

Focus: Do you happen to have a write-up on how you made your custom 3rd brake light? And maybe some pics from a little further away? Very interested in this, but don't know a lot about led lighting/wiring.
