Sexiest sub box EVER.

ahmad, you gonna be there at wed night meet? i want to hear that beast in person!!!

Good thing its a 4-door...otherwise there would be no place for the golf clubs.

Great job man...definately positive motivation to get started on mine.

Post some more pictures...I want to see every angle!

My god that is so nice. Any plans on doing anything with the interior around it? The enclosure is stunning, some more detail work around the interior panels will make it heart stopping.

*feels heart beat*

Hmmm think it already stopped my heart. :)

I am amazed that it comes in and out of the hatch in one piece. I would have thought for sure it wouldn't fit. That just makes it look so much cleaner. I love how the line around the sub swoops down toward the amps...very clean.

hey bro can i get pic of the edges by the seat belts and a picture from the back seat out. cant wait to start mine im stil designign it though.

Wow, I leave for an hour and damn near on the third page.. lol THANKS FOR ALL THE POSITIVE COMMENTS GUYS!!!

I can say that these pics dont do the box justice, I keep checking it outside because I am so in love with the paint job on it and the time it took to build it. It looks 10x better in person.

Those of you in DFW, if the subs are hooked up and i can ghetto rig a front plate on, I will be at the meets.

As for groceries, I am 18 and mooch off my parents for food, and I dont golf (wink)

The whole design was focused on my plan to keep the car physically un modified on terms of looks. Like when I made the screen, I had a spare bezel and did no permanent damage to the car. This whole sub box slides right now.

Next audio plans is to complete the 5.1 with a center speaker and some kick panels, which also means a motorized amp rack and 1-2 more amps. But thats after my JIC's and Hiboost.

I did stumble upon a tip to make things a little easier when laying the fiberglass. Most how-to's tell you to lay duct tape, then spray adhesive and then lay aluminum foil over the area before you fiberglass it. My dad has an A/C business and has aluminum tape. I layed that down instead and saved 2 steps and a lot of time.

My plans for the interior include a screen on the inside of the rear hatch (viewable at shows when the hatch is open, visor screens (already have the spare visors) and 4 more screens in the headrests (maybe). I am currently mounting a VFD display in that trim panel above the glove box, it will display information from the carputer like song name, temperature, time.. all that. But thats way in the future, I am going to performance now.

BAH! you have to choose the back? its unfinished because I have *plans* for it... and the sides are ok looking. The paint guy didnt smooth out the sanding marks so it looks a little unfinished, but even with untinted windows you cant notice.

I will get some pics for you wednesday when I hook it all up. (wink)

i dont care what it looks like i just tyring to get an idea on it haha. Also im thinking of putting in under the edge in the back and put the shelf in but fiber glass the shelf too.

Originally I wanted to keep the deck cover in the back to hide the box when I am not at shows, but i didnt calculate for the rings sticking up that high, so I took out the deck an the clips that go with it. I will just get tint and call it even.

The back of the box doesnt follow the angle of the seats. I wanted to leave it so that I had a little room to store cleaning supplies and all the goodies for shows. (If you couldnt tell already, I want to own at car shows)

Nice job Elemental.
I'm still a little hazy on how the fiberglassing process runs. First, you took out all the panels and laid foil tape over everything. Then, you laid out your purple fiberglass cloth and then resined it all up? Does it just come off the tape or how does that work? Afterwords you used bondo to smooth it up?

very nice job. very clean, the best part is where the amps meet up to the fiberglass, nice extra touch. i love seeing people put in that little extra effort to make it stand out.
