Wow, I leave for an hour and damn near on the third page.. lol THANKS FOR ALL THE POSITIVE COMMENTS GUYS!!!
I can say that these pics dont do the box justice, I keep checking it outside because I am so in love with the paint job on it and the time it took to build it. It looks 10x better in person.
Those of you in DFW, if the subs are hooked up and i can ghetto rig a front plate on, I will be at the meets.
As for groceries, I am 18 and mooch off my parents for food, and I dont golf (wink)
The whole design was focused on my plan to keep the car physically un modified on terms of looks. Like when I made the screen, I had a spare bezel and did no permanent damage to the car. This whole sub box slides right now.
Next audio plans is to complete the 5.1 with a center speaker and some kick panels, which also means a motorized amp rack and 1-2 more amps. But thats after my JIC's and Hiboost.
I did stumble upon a tip to make things a little easier when laying the fiberglass. Most how-to's tell you to lay duct tape, then spray adhesive and then lay aluminum foil over the area before you fiberglass it. My dad has an A/C business and has aluminum tape. I layed that down instead and saved 2 steps and a lot of time.
My plans for the interior include a screen on the inside of the rear hatch (viewable at shows when the hatch is open, visor screens (already have the spare visors) and 4 more screens in the headrests (maybe). I am currently mounting a VFD display in that trim panel above the glove box, it will display information from the carputer like song name, temperature, time.. all that. But thats way in the future, I am going to performance now.
