Severe Understeer

Hi, I was challenge to "duel" by a 325 BMW.Going into the first corner I braked late and tried to compensate by giving it more gas. The front tires started to spin and the rest is history. I have a stock 3 HB w/ Falken 912 and a Street Unit Billet Aluminum Rear Engine Mount. Do any of you guys have the same problem? How do I go about correcting it?

Suspension mods. Your biggest help with Understeer is the Rear anti-sway bar. Take a look at the Hotchkiss Sway bars for Front and rear. Next step would be a Rear tower brace. A good soft tire will help as well. If you want an R-compound, I love the Toyo Proxes R888's. They are DOT legal. Downside to them is that they are loud and they can crack at temps under 33* F.

If you really want to get some "go-kart" like handling where you can take a 90* corner at 60mph+, then look into Coilovers. I like the BC Racing Coilovers. Make sure you get rear camber plates with it so you can really dial into the Neg. Camber.
