selling test pipes $40. you send i make it

I'm offering up my services for anyone that wants a test pipe but doesn't want to buy the pre made ones what i'm offering is what i did to my car and what others have done to theirs making their own test pipes. What i did is use to fastory pipe cut it at the welds for the cat. and welded in a piece of stright pipe in it's place. you can gut out the cat. but there's no turning back after that. What i'll do is weld in the pipe you'll get the new test pipe and your old cat. back in tacked. if you ever want to go back to stock just re-send the test pipe and cat. and i can cut it again and re-weld the cat. back on for you for the same charge as before.

I'm charging $40 to do this this includes the piece of pipe welding it up and test fiting it before getting sent back to you. only thing you must pay for is the shipping unless the shipping is cheap and i don't mind covering the shipping to send back everything to you. I will test fit each pipe on my car before it gets sent to you to make sure everything lines up good. All you have to send to me is your factory mid pipe section. Turn around time will be asap as soon as i recieve the pipe. I live in maryland so if you live close by this can all be done in a couple hours if you come to my shop other wise it'll be shipped back to you or if you live in a decent distance away i'm willing to meet you half way pick it up do the conversion and meet up again to save the shiping hasle. i'm putting my cel number down if anyones interested just call me my name is jay.

I've been a mechanic for 9 years now three years were spent working at a performance shop doing everything from motor swaps turbos, super chargers , nitrous, custom headers and exhaust I'm worked on everything from a Z06 to a kia yes this one guy brought in a kia to get custom done lol. but i'm really doing this just top try and help others out who want stuff done but don't want to get ***** by a shop and since i have the means to do this i figured i'd try to help and $40 doesn't seem bad to me but let me know if you don't think so. if this works good i'll try dong other things also but any questions feel free to call me. -jay-
 
actually i was just going to get a test pipe, what about being able to drive in the mean time, if i send you my second cat.

I love loud cars. I love my car being loud. I like it when cars roar and you can hear everything going on with a big turbo or nice twin screw set up.

Even I think an open downpipe on our car would be cool for about twenty seconds.
 
Well thats the only down side right now. I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY trying to get a back up mid pipe so i can send someone a pipe to use for the mean time while i'm modifying there's i work at a mazda dealership so it should be easy for me to get one i just came up with this idea last night. if it's done now other then driving it open down pipe which i don't think is a good idea the car would be down for a couple days while i modify it. they day i get the pipe i will modify it and try and have it shipped back to you that day if not first thing the next morning and would ship it as fast as possible cause i know people need their cars. I can get pics i put this up to see if anyone is interested i'll lok into the replacement pipe today for you guys just to help you out if you need to drive your car while i modify you mid pipe.
 
In my opinion, this should be in the for sale section and if you're going to be producing then regularly then you should be applying to be a vendor.

As far as I know, this area is not intended for sales.
 
well i wasn't sure where it should go since i'm not selling a part more or less a service i can move the thread if thats the case i just wasn't sure. Also could you explain how do i apply to be a vendor
 
cool! I prob would have done this if it was a few weeks ago. Just went to a local muffler shop and got a quote for around the same price. I don't really wanna run an open DP for a week...lol
 
I have a midpipe you can grab from me for a few bucks. I am in NJ and I have a Vibrant exhaust so I will prob never put that cat back on.
 
thanks for the link will look into it right now. I'm selling something but it's basicly a service more so then a part but i can move it if thats the case. I pm'd who ever put up there that i can buy your stock mid pipe. i have to goto NJ for mazda school at the end of this month so we could meet up there if thats better. this is more so a starting point for me to try something to get my name out there and what ican do.

if anyone wants references for the type of work i do and quality pm me i have alot of people i've done work to their cars on other forums that can give you references.

I've been doing this type of stuff for alomst nine years and getting tired of working for other people so if my dream comes true come this spriing time maybe early summer at the latest i'll be talking to you all from my own performance shop and owning my own company and shop. i worked at a performance shop for 2 1/2 years a couple years ago and left to go work for the mazda dealership i'm a tech at now cause if you're a mechanic at a performance shop there's no money to be made really compared to a dealership. the money in performance shops is being the owner thats it. everyone likes man thats a dream job but when you were like me and on most days in the shop from 6am to 12 am at night an only get paid to be there from 9am-5pm you work more for free then anything. i learned alot doing that stuff but bottom line is i want my own bussiness and my own shop and everyone has to start somewhere and do things to get there name out there and this is my start.

This is not just limited to speed 3's basicly i'll work on any car and do anything like mods like this or other custom stuff i've been there and done that so if you own other cars or interested just hit me up. here' my cell number it's the best way to reach me my name is jay 410-537-0840

i just got my reply for the vendor. i'll have my status up soon i just have to update my pay pal account and i'll be golden. i'm working on a web site and logo's but right now my computer at home is down and i only have internet acces at work. stupid comcast cable says they are booked and can't come to my house for a week.
