Security indicator light on

Have 2013 Madza3 for 6 weeks. Had a minor fender bender today but no damage to my car or other car. Noticed the red security indicator light blinking when I turned car off. Never noticed it before. Goes on when I turn car off off & when I start car it goes off. Car runs fine. Someone told me this is security system on and it is normal for light to blink when car is turned off. Is this right or do I have to bring to dealer? Not used to all these gadgets.

I believe that is normal, but hopefully, a 2010-2013 owner will chime in. Does it continue to flash after you arm your car?

Thanks for responding! No. Only blinks when car is turned off.

That's what my 01 Corvette did, as well. I'll bet yours is perfectly normal.
