second thoughts?

I must say that I agree, why buy if youre not going to keep it for a reasonable amount of time! What ever.

There are too many people bitching about stupid details. Try owning new VW, then get back to me. Just enjoy your ride, what ever you drive!

out of all the cars i've driven in the mid to low 20's...i'd buy a WRX...i just like the ride. the MSP is awesome...but it's not quick enough for me. i'd love the Evo (which we have 4 coming in to our dealership) or the Sti...but those are a bit pricey.

The MSP isn't bad for the price...you get a ton of toys and quite a bit of performance...the SRT-4...well...it's a chrysler...'nuff said. i'd have to go for the WRX...all wheel drive...NICE! (and i sell mazda's and mitsubishi's...go figure)

AGAIN!!!!!! The WRX is another $4,000 sticker more than our MAZDASPEEDs. Poor comparison. Apples and Oranges - again!

I love my mazdaspeed more than Greg! heheheh :D

I love the style and would not trade it in (even though it isn't the fastest thing on the block, who cares.. get a motorcyle)

It's just like a relationship you gotta keep it fresh. Add things to the car and it will keep you interested. get a BOV and everyone will love it

whoa man, i seriously think i dropped a tear. no joke, dead serious here. I know how you feel man, Ask tara i was pissed when i got my first rock chip in the hood, she laughed at me and said u'll get plenty more, god dayumit i dont want plenty more i want NO MORE. I love this car, there isn't really another car out there that i could honostly say im happy wiht everything about it. I think the orange is the coolest part, besides that fact that it came already hooked up sound system wheels (we could do without the potenza's) but hell its a nice car stock, and with a few mods it get better and better everyday, and for those of you that would rather have a evo or a srt 4, why not instead of buying that car, make it your point to eventually beat that car with this one. Everyone has to remember there is always gonna be a car out there that is better than all the rest, srt-4 owners think there ontop of the world, and its just not true, there are plenty of other cars out there that would rip it a new asshole. Take rx-kevin for example, he has basically caught up to the stock srt-4 already. he's like .2 hundreths away from a stock srt-4 1/8 mile not sure on the quarter mile. but hell thats awesome i think.

btw kevin, i ordered my greddy profec b boost controller from spool they got it on back order expect it to ship in a week. when i get it im prolly gonna need your expertise. I have enuf money to buy the greddy type s bov, and this 7" tft screen for the car. I'd still have enuf left over for the pipe that im going to have to have custom bent.

I LOVE MY MAZDASPEED MORE THAN ANYONE ON THIS FORUM.

okay maybe not more than agr7 LOL I know how you tennessee ppl are behind your football team dayum ur prolly like that behind your car huh?

I used to live in tennessee thats how i know ;)

Ryan: You might think you love your MAZDASPEED more....

To have the passion, is a good thing; yes.

Football? Don't care about it.

LOL i lived in the heart of all that madness knoxville, tn to be exact. Also lived in johnson city, tn. They're crazy about football, and when i came back with my spicy orange mazdaspeed i fit right in, i got pulled over by numerous people, even police. asking me if i had my car custom painted. etc etc etc, no one had heard about the mazdaspeed there, infact the only ppl that knew about it were from this forum. The dealership that was liscensed to sell the mazdaspeed i dont believe got any. When i went to knoxville dragway, everyone was like WTF is that, those that knew about it were like, SOMEONE ALREADY HAS ONE WTF. asked me were i baught it how i got it. If i was gonna run the srt-4 that was there etc etc etc. It was crazy.

ryan I talked to a person with a MP3 turbo (spool non i/c kit) he has the greddy valve and said that it doesn't work that well for him, I never drove it so I couldn't give you my opinion I could hook you up with the pipe I used for mine and you could take it to a shop and show them what you need. I took the SSQ off and I am running the stock rx-7 valve and recirculating it. It saves gas

with all of the rain (mid week) the track should be a go this friday if you are interested, it's a hike for you though ( I am going to run this friday I put stock millenia tires on the front so I don't have alot of wear on the stock 140 tread wear tires $$$$$

i wanna go but i work 11-8 friday :( i can't wait till i get this new job i applied for i'll be working 6 - 3 monday through friday off on saturday and sunday its gonna be cool.
and i get 50 cent more wo0t ever lil bit helps.
he said the greddy type s valve didn't work that well for him.. hrm... god dayum but i want hte greddy sound, was it on a msp? i may still go for it if it dont work out i'll sell it on ebay and buy the hks one.

AMEN!

And,, I just completed reading the Car & Driver (May), placing the MAZDASPEED 3rd. Car & Driver: Please go **** yourselves. Thank you very much. Lots of color pics, but their same 'pretty much' biased horseshit opinions. (chair)

Well they weren't as bad at driving it as some of the other mags were but Motor Trend is only ones that managed to get it right.

HELL YES IM BIASED! I love my MazdaSpeed!
What gets me is they all rave about the handling and balance of the MSP then go and say well this one runs the 1320' at 14-14.6 vs 14.9-15.2 for the MSP so the turd wins.
I see the weight of the all mighty 1/4 mile rules the roost at most Amurican mags. Of course I am the one who wants a 13.8 sec MSP but hey That's just me:D

Sorry, not on the current subject but....

I can tell you that coming from a 1987 Plymouth Colt to my Black Mica P5 has been a very easy transition. Were there second thoughts? Of course! When I first saw the PT Cruiser (no stones please ;) ) I was in love! ... that is until I finally drove one. I didn't even know the P5 existed until I was test driving w/my fiance one day and he told me about it. Once I saw it, drove it (I actually bought the one I test drove, #7120), experienced it I was in love. I can tell you it was kinda surreal finally getting it, the sales guy explaining all the features and what not, I was thinking wow, this is actually mine now, I can take it home and drive it, it's MINE. And, yeah, I'm having hella second thoughts now that the RX-8 is out!!! But, I don't make enough money to have it do more than sit in my driveway and look pretty so the P5 will have to satisfy. And really, in the end it's just a car, no need to get too mushy over it. :'( :D
