Second gear

Wonder if you guys can give me some advice.

I have run against a couple of my buddy's and i always pull strongly in first gear. The minute i change to second gear the revs drop to about 2800rpm and the other guy starts pulling past me. It takes a while for the revs to pick up again and was i change to third she pulls strongly again. This only happens when snap changing and not with normal driving. Any idea what could cause this. Could this be the piggyback chip that could cause this. also the gearchanges are not very smooth when car is cold. Please help guys..

Wait until a higher RPM to shift. As for the hard shifting, that's the way it is...

Do you have an auto or a manual?

That sounds low for a manual. My auto drops to 3000-3200 when it shifts into 2nd.

maybe ur shifting into 4th instead of 2nd

when i shift into 2'nd from first at redline I am around 3.5K......

My bad. I checked today. My auto drops to 4000-4100rpm when it shifts to second

wat are u shifting at in first? i shift out of first at about 6k 500 before redline, and im like at 3.5 k i think ill check tommorrow-_-<hehe

when i am doing a hard shift to second gear (from 6500 in first) I am over 4K by the time the clutch is fully engaged.<HEHE[ p QUOTE]<>
