Can someone tell me what type of sealent should be used on the oil pan and the bottom plate? Mine has some sort of grey semi hard stuff on it, is this a "Mazda" product and is there a Permatex alternative? Thanks for your help, G.
At our shop, we use a product available at NAPA called Formed in Place Gasket that is made by a company called Aisin. It is a form of black RTV, but is tough as hell. It works way better than regular RTV.
