then u shoulda done ur research buddy! u should be able to hold 300 horsepower pretty good with a welded lsd! and 300 is a good number in this car! ive watched a video of a mild bolt on msp overtake porsche's and lambo's! its all about the drivers, not the power put down, track dont mean s***!

You have to understand the msp motor is just a 130 up n/a motor with a turbo on it, the spec v is a 175 hp n/a motor. It will obviously make more power with a turbo. You have to accept the msp for what it is, you couldn't have bought one and exected to throw down 300whp easily

im a nissan guy so lets be fare then take an fs (turboed) engine and compare it to the nissan sr20det the sr engine is way more potent and capeable than the fs engine there both 2.0 and they both have garrett gt25's (just stateing facts)

i feel like i have a neverending battle on my hands right now and that i have just about lost the war because if its not one thing its another with this ride

WOW 265 thats good for stock internals then zoomzoomboom... also i need a bigger turbo to get any more than that internalls dont matter if you dont have everything else to go with it ie. gt28rs disco turbo... thats the last thing i need to be done with this POS and i might make 300whp with a disco but then the tranny blows on me im mean you have got to be kidding me!!!
Why did you buy the MSP in the 1st place? I mean you know a lot about the car and it's problems, and it's limits. So then why would you buy a car try to mod it and go well over it's limits and then complain about it? I bought mine cause of the way they looked, drove, and felt. I knew it wouldn't be the fastest, but I didn't care and I'm not about to complain about it. The MSP has it's limit, know it, mind it, like it, and there shouldn't be any issues.

Dude if you want cheap power get a push rod v8 and call it a day.

i grew up on detroit iron and um no V8's suck they deffinitly arent bang for the buck essp. in MPG you can get huge power out of them but yet again they cost some money to make fast... i was thinking of getting a 2005 GTO and S/C the ls2 and making 450+ on pump gas but i dont like 18-19mpg on a good day

yeah gas mileage sucks with any v8 no power or gobs of power. lol I can make the 302 in my truck to 500rwhp cheaper then I can get the msp to 250fwhp and still be running on pump gas. Grant it on a good day that might me 15mpg-ish.

i have yet to meet a spec v owner that hasnt had a shitload of problems with it. i am happy as hell everyday that i choose to get an msp insted of a spec v at the last second.

well i did alot more indepth research before i starting modding it, i just didnt know it went zoomzoomboom so dam easially... then when i found it out i tried to make it last and it didnt now this is were i sit with the car!

spec v's are ****** ugly anyways! now a 240 with an s15 front end full bolt on would be awesome! i love some nissans but compairing a msp to a spec v is just wrong! and i am a member of the zoomzoomboom club! and yah it sucked but i was a dumbass a cranked it up to 12 psi with only ets sidemount and hardpipes and a 626 mani! but i sure as hell beat alota cars at that boost level! took a 350z, f body transam and even kept up pretty good with a stock ws6, raced my friend in his spec v it was like as soon as i hit 3rd he was 6 cars behind!

What do you mean "easily"? they can handle 10psi w/ proper mods and a good tune. and as for the MSP turbo's only good for 15~16 psi, I don't know where you got that. I have hit 20psi easy ( not on purpose ) and no boom.
I have less then $1700 into my speed and am over the 200 hp mark to the wheels.

i was only 800 into my speed and i hit 210 whp and then boom on 9psi i guess i didnt have the correct supporting modds but 3 psi over stock and then boom you jokeing right... and 20psi on stock turbo your way past the thermal efficency of the turbo and blowing nothing but hot air at that point... 15-16psi is the max maybee even 17psi but then your way out of the turbo's efficency range and that extra couple psi dose no good but wears down your turbo!!! but what do i know... not a dam thing just because i dont like my MSP that automattically means i dont know s*** thats great

its funny this came up. i have a freind who has a friend who drives a specv. today he told me it was between his specv and an MSP he looked at. i took him for a ride in it and he now says he should have bought the msp lol

you said it not me ... 3 psi over stock without the proper mods and you went BOOM!!! you can't just add some pipes and new SMIC and think that now you can turn up the boost. it's not all about the boost. air flow, cooling, and proper fuel before turning up the boost.

wow thats awsome thanks for that little lesson, but after all this it was the tubo that went boom not the engine thats why i need a new one but that my fault right the turbo went a 3 psi over stock at first i was sure it was the block/pistons/rings ect... but it wasnt holy s*** like i said i dont know anything just because i hate my MSP

well tell him he's not missing anything and i wish i still had my specV but that was along time ago and a few cars ago, tell hime theres no replacement for discplacement and the specV has one of the biggest 4bangers you can get and unlike hondas it had N/A tq aswell

well I'm not here to be a dick. I'm just responding to the info in your posts.
like I said in my 1st post if you are looking to get your turbo rebuilt the look up Turbos unleashed. I just can't see bashing a car for issues caused by the owner. And I'm not talking about you, you said you got it 2 1/2 months ago.
Do you know how the last owner drove it? Things happen, but a turbo going out because of an extra 2~3 psi sounds like neglect or rodding the piss out of it from the previous owner.

These threads always make me LOL. I've gone nearly 2.5 years, nearly 20k miles, at 10 psi and ~210 whp and I'm still running fine - and my motor wasn't even turbo'd to start with! Like everyone has said, you should have done your research from the start. Either drop another $1000 on a GT28RS or sell the damn thing and quit your bitching. Just wait until your tranny blows at 300 whp! It's not like it's ******* rocket science, built lower end, worked head, cams, larger turbo, ugraded tranny and you can hit 400 whp easily. The only caveat is that'll all run you nearly $10k, but had you done your research you'd have known that.
