No I don't. Like the SRT-4, it's faster in a straight line than the S2000. Very shocking for a car that costs $10,000 less. The SRT-4 is an amazing car, it's ok looking, but it's not my taste.

The RX8, if that's what you are refering to, is not even on par with the SRT-4, performance wise, so it is nowhere near that of the S2000 in overall performance wise. Your statement makes no sense. I never act like the S2000 is "Gods gift to the world". I can admit when another car is better. It sounds like to me that all of you are the ones that can't admit when their car has been "bested" by something newer and better. The MSP is a "parts bin" car just like the ION Red Line. The only thing that is one of on the MSP is the turbo manifold. That's it. The rest is parts bucket products. Sorry, sometimes the truth is hard to swallow. Don't choke on it.

No I don't see your point. I didn't say that Wow I don't like it but It performs well. I said I don't like it so, I could give two s**** about it's performance. The 1994 2000 mustang had some super powerful versions. Still doesn't change the fact that I hate them. I don't make concessions to my opinions based on good points versus bad. Its one or the other for me, I like or I don't. In the Redlines case I DON'T. Sorry for being decisive

Nothing there is showing me that the RX8 couldnt handle the SRT-4 around a track and stay with a 2grand. Your whole basis that the RX8 is worse than the SRT4 is because the SRT4 is faster than the 2Grand. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with that conclusion? Again your using the 2grand as a apex of performance for all sports cars. In where all sports cars must first reach the level of the 2grand IN YOUR EYES before they are worthy of recognition or competition. So dont tell me you dont act like the 2Grand is Gods gift to the World. And your the one who always makes sure you let people know no car in the same class as the 2grand is as good as it. The MSP is bested by the 04 SRT-4 in every form of performance except for handling, but it's not far behind. I have no problem admitting that. The Redline however doesn't best s***. It might have higher #s, but until it comes out & someone proves they're faster, I maintain that it's a POS.

How is the MSP a parts bin car? Do you see the LSD on any other Mazda? Are you saying that Tokico & Racing Beat are parts bin companies? That's just the performance...there is a whole list of appearance stuff that is uniquely made.

And this new ION looks a little similar to the MSP, so I don't know why some of you are hating on it so quick. You might want to go take another look at the car in your own driveway.

We all know that the MSP is NOT the greatest car in the world (or heaven forbid that YOU would think that the S2000 is)!!

Believe me, if I wanted anything else I would have gotten it. I just picked the MSP. I think that the ION REDLINE is a good attempt at Saturn's part. I just saw one this evening and it had some good qualities. Although......the interior STILL has something to be desired. And the body seems cheaply made.

The Ion Red Lines five-speed gearbox, the same one used by Saab and Opel, has a nice, short-throw shifter. It is the best Saturn shifter weve used. There are equal-length halfshafts and beefed-up CV joints to handle all the torque. We attempted several full-throttle launches and never once uttered the words torque steer.

hmmm... as compared to other saturn/GM shifters????

I sat in the car & tried out the shifter & it's just about the worst thing I've ever seen. As you can see from the picture, it's HUGE & has a total lack of sporty appearance (along with the rest of the interior).

Can someone also please tell me what those huge ass spaces on the side of the center console in the ECHO are?

The center console and interior are still the same. With the exception being the color(black), a bigger steering wheel, and sports pedals(w/ the Red Line moniker). You would have thought that they would at least do something w/ that console.
