San Diego - broken RX7 for sale $250

85 RX7 GSL, white with tan interior

My neighbors are bitching about it being on the street for 2 months. I just bought it from ebay, and I'm asking for less than half of what I payed for it. The registration is good until feb 2005. The certificate of ownership won't be issued until it has a smog check, but since it doesn't run I can't get it smogged. If you buy it you can either fix it and get it smogged, make it PNO in dec 2004, or just use it for parts or off-road use.

I need to get rid of this as soon as possible. I'm hoping to sell to someone in San Diego who can pick it up. The car is in good condition, no dents. a little bit of rust on the back. the interior is nice, and the engine looks good. I bought it a new battery, spark plugs / wires, and a chiltons manuel.

I'm willing to lower the price if you can pick it up soon. I'll give you all the paperwork you need for the DMV to get it registered in your name.

I guess I should probably post the price. I'm asking for $250, but I'm willing to knock of $30 if you can pick it up this weekend. I bought the car 2 months off ebay and it wasn't working when I got it. I don't know what's wrong with it because I know s*** about cars. When I try to start it, it just makes a clicking sound. I think it might be carbon locked or blown apex seal too because I'm unable to turn the pulleys or move the car when it's in gear.

I think it's a really good looking car, I'd trade it for my 2001 protege if it were running, lol. Anyways, when I bought it, i was offered $100 for the doors and $100 for the tires (oh, one of the tires became flat after sitting for 2 months). So if you're just going to sell the parts, I don't think it would be hard to make a profit. Thanks again.

EDIT the car was sold at a lien sale which means there is no pink slip. I will give the buyer the lien sale papers and everything else you need to get it registered in your name.

edit: oh yeah, there is a crack in the glass, its about 8-10 inches on the top passenger side, its very hard to see. but i dont want there to be any surprises.

I bought it off ebay couple months ago, and when I got it, it wasnt running. The previous owner said it had been sitting for 4 years, so if it was working before that it could be carbon locked, but.. he might have blown an apex seal which would be a much big repair. I really don't know. I haven't had time to work on it at all, and now I have to get rid of it. I would love to know what is wrong with it though.

Also... When you turn the ignition it just clicks. That's as far as I've been able to get with the car... (so it MIGHT not even be carbon locked or whatever.. but im almost positive it's more than just the starter.)
