Uh it's 247 crank not 210. Please don't talk about a car if you don't know anything about it.

It looks to me as if servoeyes is quoting SCC there

servo is right -

I have an SRT-4 and I'm planning on getting a MSP for my wife (okay for me too...lol) when I get back from my deployment...which is slated for the beginning of October.

Its 210 crank on the auto dummy. They couldnt find an auto tranny to withstand the high rpms so they lowered the gearing on the autos and the horsepower. Obviously smolten is smelly.

See, and this is the type of thinking that I think is completely stupid. I am not biased to ANY car manufacturer. Ford makes a BADASS drag car(SVT Cobra). Honda makes a HIGH reving track monster(S2000 & NSX). Mazda tried with the RX8, but maybe the two seater version will be better(it probably will). Chevy makes the Z06. I can go on and on, if you are a true auto enthusiast, you wouldn't be so closed minded and shut out other manufacturers. That's just dumb.

Thats just my opinion, if no one in the world had them then there would be one car company and we'd all be driving a corolla, and since you think the S2000 is a track monster you must be opinionated towards a car like that instead of a dragster. The RX8 is what it is, an everyday sporty car, your talking like mazda tried and failed, its gas milage is on par with larger sedans, it has a good sport supension but not rough to deal with everyday, can fit four easily (the dealer that came along with us was 6'4 and sat fine in the back) and it still has enough performance to put a smile on your face, id say mazda did a fine job... The RX8 isnt even that far off from a S2000.... C&D S2000 Price as tested 33K 1/4: 14.1 Braking 70-0:161ft G's; .92....RX8 Price as tested 28K 1/4: 14.5 Braking 70-0:161ft G's; .91 Road and Track S2000 Price: 32K 1/4: 14.1 Braking 60-0:123ft G's; .90 slalom: 65.9MPH RX8 Price: 31K 1/4: 14.5 Braking 60-0:114ft G's; .88 Slalom: 65.4MPH.

It's a manual assclown

smolten, you have nothing good to say. Please get some facts not just posting s***.

For everyone: if I pay enough, I can make ANY (YES ANY) car FASTER than yours. What has this world come to? JUST TOP SPEED? Screw that, I'm about handling too, geesh. For all those public runways open  what else is top speed good for? Nothing- just to be able to brag. A true car enthusiast will like speed an handling, you all just talk about speed.

Now, please, lets move on to something else.

The car dynoed was the 6sp, which is 247hp.

You`re an idiot you pay 30,000 for a car rated at 247 but only get 174 AHAHAHHAHAHA bye ******* lock this thread too.

Ok...Apparently people just see what they want instead of reading what's there. The article that I quoted, if you had bothered to read it, Smolten, had said that they had the manual, but that the last variable opening ports were locking shut on all of the test models. This was causing the motor to only put down the 210hp at the crank like the auto. That's 178 to the wheels. Soooo...No,my logic is not flawed, you hairless ape. Now, go back to your own little forum and leave mine alone...

Smolten, I loved the post of the screen shot with the arrow pointing to the RX8.(rofl) That was just too damn funny! I'm sure you all can see what car is in front.:D

the stuck aux intake port issue in the pre-production cars has been addressed in the production cars. All the ports are opening properly. Look at the dynos posted and you can see 3 'dips' in the graph, which are points where the secondary, tertiary, and auxiliary ports open up, so they are all there.

As I've explained it before, then reason it's not making the power it's suppose to have is because the ECU is running the engine VERY rich at high RPM to protect the engine during break-in period.

As for that Best Motoring video result, meh, you win some and you lose some, i'm not gonna lose any sleep over it :o

actually, someone go find out what the setup is on all the other cars in that video, are they all stock, or do some of them have been tuned (factory or aftermarket)?
