Swapped pads for the first time @ 36k miles, and I noticed there is a bunch of rust inside the brake pistons. The units on my 16 year old miata look better. Anyone else notice this?
Mine were pretty nasty as well when I did my brakes at 50k. As long as the actual piston surface (the part that goes inside the caliper) is clean, you're totally fine, even though it does look pretty gross.
