Rust on my car :'(

What kind of rust inhibitor? Has it worked so far? I've been occaisionally using some brush-on inhibitor that I picked up from Advance Auto, but I feel it can't touch it like say...Rust-O-Leum.

I have some surface rust along the bottom of the driver's door and would like to address it before winter arrives.
