I would highly recoomend lisetening to what edwin has to say, as he is much more reliable and intellegent when it coems to proteges than teh average forum joe... and hes our forum admin...

I have nothing against this edwin guy but this line "...I am not sure if I can discuss it at this time. Please do not ask a dealer about this, they won't know." sounds eerily like the line I used to give my parents when I was going out drinking in high school.
me: Mom, dad, I'm spending the night at Dave's tonight.
parents: Oh, yeah, then you won't mind if we call Dave's parents will you?
me: Um, no, you can't because they...won't...know, I mean they'll be out, er, the phone doesn't work. Yeah, that's it.

You get the point. I'm just wary about those statements. Either he's full of crap and can't back it up or he's so in at Mazda with top secret info. that dealers wouldn't know. If the latter is the case, why say anything at all? To look cool to people on the internet? I just question the legitimacy of his statements.

He knows an inside mazda source. If he leaked essential info like that, he'd be risking his friends job. He does have the inside s***. He won't even tell me any of this s*** and I'm working with him on a massive project (top secret ;)). He'll hint at s***, but won't confirm it with me unless its allowed by his friend to be said.

If it is man made we can defeat it!!!!

Bahhhh

The boost can be upped, there should be a way to manipulate the boost pressure, We just need to look at one(laugh)

But some type of fuel cut or boost cut is probably in the ecu. This may be our problem unless we get a fuel cut defencer.

As far as making 300hp. me thinks we are being overly optimistic here. I honestly dont think that'll happen with the stock turbo and intercoolerPerhaps 10 psi should get about 200 plus hp.

Regardless, this is one hell of a car for the price. Man only if they sold these things last year(bang)

I've met Edwin. He's a pretty knowledgable guy, and seems credible. If he has inside info, and can't tell because of a promise to a buddy, I respect that. That's called trust. At times he may seem a little arrogant, but read his disclaimer "Edwin is not serious!"

Yep, the vacume line isn't the only way to boost the psi. If it has "tamper proof clips", just take apart the waste gate actuator and put a heavier spring or another secondary spring inside it to keep the wastegate from opening as early. Too easy.
