Rubbing Question.

I am planning on getting a set of 17x7 42 offset rims w/ 215/45/17 tires. If I am dropped on H&R, does anybody know/have experience with it rubbing? I know it will be close. I just need to know if i should go w/ the 215/45 or goto a 215/40. This is for the LX sedan pro.

rubbing depends on many things, but bottom line, if you are lowered with 7" wide tires, you are probably going to rub...sorry
i basically have the same set up as you and i can get some mean rubbing going on in the rear mostly, usually only if there is lots of stuff in the boot or two or more adults [sized] people...

I'm running 215/45/17 on the stock 17s with a drop and one of my tires shows a fair amount of rubbing as the lip has cut into the tire.
