Rubbing metal sound.

So yesterday i went to go get this diagnosed at the dealership. I had a brake tech with me in the car so we can figure it out. As usual, the car was perfect when the tech was in with me. I decided to try and heat up the brake rotors and pads so it makes that lurching, metal grinding sound. So the tech heard it and FREAKED out! He gave me a face ill never remember. I FINALLY caught this damn thing and its going in tomorrow at 8am for whatever repairs it might need. I cant wait for it to be fixed.(drive2)

Im starting to feel a lil stupid here. Should i have left the car and said i feel unsafe driving it? Cause i sort of do and its stopping me from going places i want to go...not that i really NEED to go...but its the reason i bought a car in the first place...to drive to places i wanna go. Also, i found a few other threads where they are having the same issue...just thought i would bring this to everyone's attention as it could be a major issue.

Yea, but its like a "wooooo" sound. not really a grind. i get it when going from 0-15 mph, not driving it hard, just regular.

ok i also read the other post... and are you have the same issue as that person with the turning and making the sound.. if so tell me what happens at the dealership cause i had that same sound happen 2 or 3 times but i cant reproduce it at all... just happens when im not trying... i was turning into a parking spot both times at about 5mph if that... first time it happened didnt think much of it either thought i ran over something... and only happened turning right

So i went yesterday and dropped the car off. I tried to get the service manager to hear the sound but it wouldnt budge. It seems to happen after about 30 minutes of street driving as the brakes get warm and so do the pads. Im very convinced that its a brake problem. Even tho the service manager didnt hear it, the tech did and thats all they needed. He was just curious about the sound. They immediately got me a rental..a car thats almost as fast and as cool as mine....they got me a....KIA...thats right. Im driving a POS kia. At least im saving in gas for a lil while. I hope they give me a call back today and tell me whats going on. Ill keep this thread updated .
