i have a 95 protege 1.8 automatic and every time i turn on my a/c my rpm drop down from 800 to 600 and my engine start rattle. i check my timing and is perfect. is there any compensator that when I turn the a/c will keep my rpm in 800 and not let it drop.

i'm pretty sure there is an aic (automatic idle control) valve that should compensate for the drop in rpm when the ac comes on ....aha it's called the isc ( idle speed control).

added:it's mounted right on/ near the throttle body has a cpl wires leading to it and acts as a bypass to allow more air to the motor when idle drops due to accessories
