rough idle? HELP!

i'm having problems with my 03 msp, it runs vary rich all the time, it used a 1/2 tank of gas in 75 miles. it also smokes realy bad when cold and under hard exel. it idles rough and the rpm's jump from 250-1000. the car is running 8 psi of boost with a gready manual controler, it also has a 3" exhaust without a cat and a pod filter attached to the stock intake pipes. i've cleaned the egr valve the pcv valve and reflashed the ecu, does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong? the intake air temp sensor is stuck in the base of the filter before the maf sensor i dont know where it was orig located, could this cause these types of problems?

Haven't got it yet? I still think it's a vac leak somewhere, maybe some carb cleaner will help you find it. The air temp sensor is fine at the back of the filter that's how it is stock, it sits near the back of the air box. I've even had it just hanging in the engine bay, it was that way for about a year with no problem.

the filter is clean, and im going to recheck all the vac lines and change the plugs today. when i cleaned the egr i just used carb cleaner, is that strong enough? the valve moved up and down realy easy.

I would think your IAT sensor should be further upstream to get an accurate temp reading inside the pipe not at the inlet. Check your plugs and that should help tell the story.
