Has anybody tried the rockblocker paint protection stuff. I was thinking of getting some for my bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors but i'm not sure how the fit/look is and how difficult it is to apply.

Thanks for any input on this!

I put that clear vinyl stuff on the headlights, front bumper, and hood on my old car and it worked great never had any chips.:)

If you're a novice, installation is a time consuming b****, putting it mildly. It's definitely one of those things I'd have done professionally next time around. I put it on my Frontier (except the hood - I opted for a bug deflector there) but I put it on my front bumper, headlights, fenders behind the wheels and rocker panels. Took me forever and it still wasn't as perfect as I wanted it. I can't imagine how long it would have taken to do the hood and get it perfect. If you have the cash, have it done professionally. Its expensive but worth it.

the fogs were a breeze, just go slowly, and use a spray bottle of water to "lube" your hands, surface, and the adhesive, then take the plastic tool, and squeegee all the water out when you have it centered. just go slowly, and make sure its where you want it.

i effed up the smoked tails tho. because of the shape of the tailight, they are extremely hard to apply. that was a waste of 40 bucks

eh you live and learn.

Very awesome stuff. I hit a guard rail that destroyed my car but the headlights and fogs didn't drop a piece of glass on the ground. My lights were cracked but the rockblocker held them in place. I wish I would have done my car with the custom paint. I'm all chipped up now.

Works awesome and protects the crap out of your car

Self Pimpin ftw :D

I would have to agree though, good stuff. If you are new to it, maybe start with something easy like foglights. Then you will be able to judge if you think you can do the paint protection or if you would rather have a proffesional do it.
