Rising Gas Prices??

I spoke to a friend (who is a mechanic) about this. He said that you can run regular gas on high compression and turbocharged engines. It will run like crap at first until the ECU adjusts timing and fuel to keep things save. But performance will go down, as well as gas milage. So the money you save at the time of fill up will go down the drain because you are getting less miles per gallon. He said it won't save any money and it's not worth the risk.

if you barely drive id say not worth it... but if you do drive alot those 2 bucks will begin to add up, so you have to weigh your options but if you do end up pumping 87 take boostr's advice and stay out of boost or you'll be looking for a new motor.

I drive around 500 miles a week and fill up twice a week.

$2.00 x 2 (week) = $4.00
$4.00 x 4 (month) = $16.00

I think I'll just eat the $16 and keep using 93. Then again, I got my N/A daily driver working again, so I won't be driving my MSP so much.

I hear you man. My Sentra gets 30 mpg's . I was thinking about selling it, but future gas prices don't look good. So I might just keep it to save money and put less miles on the MS3 (spin).

You guys should just be thankful you dont live in Canada... I am paying roughly $1.48 per litre for 91 which works out to be $5.60 per gallon.

Last two fill ups it cost me alittle over 70 dollars....
Last two fill ups I got the most milage out of my car...
