Rishie's FITMENT RECIPE

If running a 16x7.0 wide wheel please run a +43 and higher. This is relative to tire width as well.

So if I run a +40 offest, what's the widest tire I can fit without rubbing on a sedan? 225/50/16's would have rubbing issues I'm sure. 215's are hard to come by in 16" diameter, so would that mean I'd be stuck running a 205wide tire?

Hi Rishie and all,

saw some volk se37 at a local place: 16*7, offset +42.
will they fit on my sp20 (protege 5) with 205/45/R16 Toyos without rubbing? thanks!

wheel spacers will be ok, but alot of us don't like them because it shortens the bolts on the hub. you just need to add 5mm to each wheel well to compensate the 45mm you're supposed to get.

Ok, I'm a newb about wheels, but if I really like a set of wheels with a +40 offset is it as simple as buying wheel spacers to make them fit ok?

Like these?

And if it is that simple, what's the reccomended amount of offset to add to a +40?

Does anyone know if 17" rims with a +40 offset on 205/40 tires would rub if i lowered the car with tein s.tech springs? Whats maybe the lowest i could drop the car?

with a 17"*7.5" +48 offset on a 205/40 tire will it rub on a lowered P5, i would like if it kinda looked tucked if thats possible with a 7.5" wide wheel

From memory, I'm pretty sure it'll work. I'm too lazy to look at chart, sorry. but I think it's right

stupid question probably...

but whats smaller (thinner-width wise)?... 205/40/17 or 215/40/17?
the 215 tire is 215mm wide while the 205 is 205mm wide. obviosly 205 is smaller than 215

Ok their is way too many post on this thread making it freakin impossible to figure out what will fit what.

So I'll do like all the others and just ask and see what i get for answers.

1st question though is, the lower the offset the more the tires will stick out correct? So if i get one too high, pushing them in farther, I can just then mill out some spacers to put them exactly where i need them.

I want 18"s probably a 18 x 7". My car is pretty low and the stock tire/rims tuck a little now. As far as tires i was guessing a 205/40-18. That should fit the narrower 7" rim, but i wonder if it will be too rubber band looking. If you look at our side wall stock, they are 50% of 195mm (195/50) which is 97.5mm . So 40% of 205mm (205/40) would be 102.5mm so they would be just a few mm's from the stock side walls. Damn that would loom good. Would be nice and perportional. I think our sidewalls look a little thick for 16's but add 2" to the rims and that would look good i think.

Any opinions?
