RIP: MazdaSpeed6 and Mazda6 Sport Wagon killed off for '08

I thought they already announced they were discontinuing the wagon a while ago?

This just means that there won't be much more for support for the vehicle since they will no longer make it.
Look at it this way, parts will end up costing more to repair it , body panels i.e. the fascia and rear bumper parts will soon be discontinued, so might as well start hanging onto what ya got.

They should have built a MS6 wagon variant.

When I had the MSP in for some warranty work they gave me a brand new Mazda6 Wagon, fully loaded. That is one of the best cars I have driven. It definately held it's own. A Mazdaspeed version would be the ultimate vehicle for me.

Ditto. The car I was looking at when I found the MS6 was the Saab SportCombi. I was selling my Saab 9-2X in order to upgrade as soon as the SC came out. Then I *drove* it and it was but a shadow of former Saabs. I went looking for something else (Legacy GT B-spec) and then I saw the review of the MS6 on Edmunds.com.
Test drove the MS6 the next day and the moment I started driving, I knew I had found "my" car! Had they offered a Speed6 Wagon, I would've been even happier.

Make that at least a few more cause I would buy one for me and the wife, weather she wanted it or not!!
Contact Bluesultan to get your build date, at least he used to be able to give it to you if you gave him your VIN. I don't know if he still can or not but it never hurts to ask.
