i have asked many people and ive gotten different responses but now that im in the right section ill ask again. i have stock suspension and i want to know if 18 inch rims will fit without rubbing at all. i have heard from some that the biggest i should go is 16s and others have said that 18s will fit no problem. so what should i do?

18's fit with the proper width and offset. No more than a 7.5 wide rim and at least a +45mm offset should work with no rubbing. +48mm is ideal though.

and would getting wheel spacers work with the 42mm offset wheels. if so, where could i find them

Well I have RX-8 Rims on my MSP with Tein S Springs and they are 18x8 i have Nankang Sport NS-II 215/35/18 tires and I have no rubbing issues at all, even with 4 people seating in the back, one in the front passenger side and my self. I think RX8 rims are the sickest looking rims for any Protege, MSP, MP3, P5. my personal Opinion. also if you are heavily modded, they help you to have traction and to put those punnies to the ground.. here my car domain site. check them out. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2315771/1

I have to say, the RX-8 rims look good on ur ride...like they should have been on the Protege from the start.

No doubt. That is a nice looking car.

the ONLY size you can run on an 18x8 wheel is 215/35/18. If your running a 7.5 you may be able to get a 40 series, i think someone here has them. I may be selling my rx-8s, im still undecided.

If you're gonna sell the rims/tires, please let me know.
