quick question! The weight of the rim....Obviously the lighter the rim the better, but will it be as safe? Reason I am asking is because I am checking out some aftermarket rims and they only weight about 16-20 pounds...is that safe? Also, for a stock mp5, what's the offset manageable?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Basically for 17s... you want +45mm offset or better... using 205/40 tires. You might get away with 42mm, but rubbing may occur.

Not sure what the stock wheel weighs. The 17s I'm getting at the end of the month weight 14lbs w00t. I can't wait! They are the Kosei K1-TS... 48mm offset too. unf. Many pics will be posted.

I AGREE with the gold on yellow... i wouldn't have thought that it would look good - but in that pic it looks pretty hot to me!
