Main Controller Features

  • 3D Pointing. Controller sensors understand up, down, left, right, forward and backward motions.
  • Tilt Sensitive. Controller can be rotated or rolled from side-to-side.
  • Buttons. Has a trigger on its backside, face buttons, and a D-Pad.
  • Multifunctional. Has an expansion port which can be used with different types of controller peripherals. Analog stick with two trigger buttons planned for left hand.
  • Wireless. Totally wire-free. Currently there are no details on the max distance, source or power, or otherwise.
  • Rumble Built-in. Included as a standard in all the controllers.

Ehehhwehwhwhew......I don't know...it doesn't look right!!! At first I thought it was meant to be held sideways, but nope. It has few buttons and an awkward shape for a game controller. I don't like it so far. Can you imagine trying to play SoulCalibur or something like that on THAT?! I'm sure it could be doable once you get used to it, but I don't want to have to get used to it!

how are you soppoed to pull off combos in SF with that thing??? didin't nintendon't learn anything from

Thing looks crazy, but I'll give it a whirl. Hopefully there's a more standard optional controller for fighting games and such.

I'm an avowed Nintendo fanboy, Dana. you can't punk me ;) as for standard controllers, the system accepts inputs from Gamecube controllers and has the wireless recievers built in from the existing Wavebirds.

me personally, even as a fanboy...i'm weirded out by the design. I like the system power button on the controller itself, the motion capture/sensitivity, the trigger and the expansion port, etc. But its going to take major getting used to. I'm not sure this is a risk Nintendo needs to take. But then again, DS is outselling PSP three to one world wide despite everyone's doubts and fears.

I liked what I saw about Revolution alot until I saw the controller. I liked the design of the system alot, very sleek and polished, the "suck-in" disc slot VS a tray, wireless 802.11 and internet from the box, the ability to download ANY previous game from ANY nintendo system, etc. But this controller has made me a very worried fan boy :(

It has some neat ideas, and some quirky games will come out, but I forsee myself playing 99% of all Revolution games on my Gamecube controlers.

Nintendo Rev < Xbox 360

period.

**** xbox and the horse it rode in on. i will say this, its the best DVD player i have ever owned. plus it plays Halo. I'm not sure if there was ever any other real use for it...

PlayStation3 > Xbox 360

Except you can download all of the nintendo games from any system onto it, which was a selling point for the Revolution in your eyes. Plus it will play sega and mame games also.

This controller will be the final nail in Nintendo's coffin. Like an earlier person said - it's going to take a lot to get used to controlling games with that thing, and the very large majority of people don't want a controller that "takes getting used to". They want to pick up and play. It's a shame too because the system itself sounds nice -- downloading old games is its best feature (IF 'all' old games are available and not just ones by Nintendo - so far it's only games by Nintendo).

The simple fact is the best controller ever made was the SNES controller and they've been going downhill ever since.

I like it, and like some said. You can still use a regular controller with the system.

I'm and equal opportunity gamer. I never take the XBOX>PS2, or 360>Revolution stance. i just get them all.

My current setup is running a PS2 to the left of my TV, a Gamecube to the right, and an XBOX under it. And I can honestly say I've had all three turned on within the past three days.

Currently Playing:
XBOX: KOTORII, HALO2, Jade Empire
PS2: FFX, GT3 (4 blows)
GC: Mario Sunshine, MK Doubledash, Simpsons Hit-n-Run
NES: Zelda
SNES: Zelda & Blastcorps
N64: Goldeneye & Perfect Dark
PS1: Zenogears, Ico, & My wife plays DDR (yes I have dance pads)
Gameboy SP: Zelda & Super Puzzle Fighter.

Only the Xbox, PS2, and GC are hooked up to my home theatre, the rest are in the back room on the 19" tv... with the exception of the Gameboy, it's on the bedside table.

But I guess if I was forced to choose... I'd pick the Xbox for teh Win.
