Retractable cargo cover . . .

Is this available for 2010 CX-9 GT AWD with the auto lift gate?

Does it just cover behind the 3rd row or can it cover behind the 2nd row of seats? Any pictures anywhere?

No.
If you have power lift gate, the cargo cover does not work for you.

I don't have the power liftgate but I believe the power liftgate mechanism takes up additional room on the rear pillar thus changing the dimensions.

There is an extra arm on the left side of the compartment that lifts the door so the cover may be in the way. The mechanism also takes up room where the storage compartment use to be on the left side. I suppose you can cut up the cover to keep it from interfering with the opening mechanism.

It is not impossible to design one, just that such one is not available now.

that's what I had though, cutting one up. Oh well, i just threw a black blanket to cover stuff. heh

I dont have power lift gate, but I have cargo cover.
It can only be used when 3rd row is folded down. It cover all space from 2nd row.

I just looked again at my 2010 w/power lift gate. Even if you modify the cover, it will not work. They did not put the notch on the left side for the cover to attach to when its closed. I have a brand new one for those who do not have power lift gate for sale. Its still in the plastic bag it came in, never been opened.

Just wonder whether would be possible to cut out similar on the left as it is on the right. I'm really upset with the open cargo space. Here in Europe is a standard to have the cover in every station car and nobody even consider this an extra. What makes me also lots of fun is that mazda offers this only for vehicles w/o power liftgate - how to explain this ? Do they believe assisted gate users have nothing to hide (strike) ?

I would appreciate your comments - CX9 is not a common car in Europe - officially is not sold in here (except of Russia) In Poland exceptionally there were 80 vehicles sold in the official dealership (Russia surplus) and one of them is mine. Unfortunatelly no big experience and not to much oportunities to compare (eg. how does the cover look like)
