Report Car Problems Here.....Everyone!

o ya, my springs are saggin to in the rear only. front is still strong. forgot about those. when i have about 2 people in my rear seats they sag a bit. but they dont drop unless u get people in there. i think my sis just had to many people in the rear (really heavy people no offence to anyone) and now they tend to lower some when theres people in the rear. anyone else have this problem?
 
Mazda 3s engine light

I'm from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have a '04 Mazda 3s and here is my problem:

Just wondering of anyone else has had this problem.. I have a mazda 3 with a sport package. For christmas my boyfriend gave me a cold air intake to get better milage. He installed it about 2 months ago. Ever since then when I floor my car, like getting on the interstate (going from like 0 to say 60 or so) the check engine light comes on. When I took it to the mazda dealership, they checked it out, and said they really couldn't touch it b/c we had added a part but they saw a broken PCV valve, so we ordered one. 1st they sold us the wrong part, then we realized thet all we did was leave off a clip to that pipe. Abut after cliping it. The light still comes on. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?
 
umm, first u might want to post that in the mazda 3 secion of the forum. they probaly could help u more than us mp3s, but what u might want to try is go to autozone n have them check the cel (check engine light) they dont charge for it. they plug a obd reader in n checks everything. (think its called obd readers) after that try trouble shooting from there. what it sounds like to me is mayb ur engine is reading to much air into the engine... n its throwing the cel. does anything else happen?

Sorry about that, I am new to this site. I did post it there, and have got a couple of answers. I was just posting my problem where ever I could so at least someone would answer me! Thanks so much for the suggestion. I will check that out! The other problem I had was sometimes when I'm going 0-60 or so and the cel comes on, I feel my car decelerating at the same time. it doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes. Its strange.

1) The insanely annoying squeeking from suspension (used to be just on cold days, now it's whenever it isn't hot as hell)

2) Whistling noise at high speeds (I think this is actually due to the antenna. I reached out the window and pushed it down and the noise stopped.)

3) An odd "hop" from the clutch when carefully taking off in first gear from a stop or very low speed roll. (What's the deal with that?)

4) Sagging rear springs. (If there are 2 ppl in the back seats, it seems that the rear tires are almost touching fenderwell...wtf)

5) Difficult to get into first on cool days, until the car warms up.

6) Seems like the whole damn thing rattles.

That's all I can come up with for now.

That's all I can come up with for now.

Well it's nothing that sound too bad for a car that's got 70k on it. I hit 82k just last week on mine. I had my swaybar links replaced, relubed the bushings and front motor mount replaced with the AWR and the car is fine. My guess is that you need to lube them bushings, check to see if your rear shocks are blown and as for the 1st gear issue what tranny fluid are you using. If you live in the cold you might want to have something that is more viscous(spelling) when cold.
 
It seems we all have pretty much the same problems with the car. So here's my take. Wheel hopp/ or "odd hop when letting go of the clutch" due to engine mounts.. get better ones. Clunk in the trunk, that sway bar thing i think, buddy on this site has the problem figured out and is working on it for us.. awesome dude. Insaine Squeeking. Oddly enough, mine only does it when it's hot, not when it's cold, but it must be the same damb thing. Lubing the rear bushings should do the trick, can anyone sudgest a good lub for this? Anything with the tranny (hard to put it in gear say) can be resolved with a good tranny oil change (unless you grinded the gears to s***). If you have a hard time putting it into first or reverse, the manual tells you to put it in nutral, let go of the clutch and try again... this works.

For thoes who are complaining about a sag in the rear suspension when they are carrying there 300lb girl friends. That's just normal. You could also blame the fact the car wants to dart to one side because of this. Any suspention (unless you got a 3/4 tonn truck) will sag under load.

The rest of the problems listed seemed to be tune up issues. Appart from buddy who drove his car without belts as it was over heating and shutting down on him and he wonders why it's leaking fluid the next morning. Did you think about pulling over and looken under the hood??
 
1. T/O bearing chirping neutral and while driving in gear. How long until failure?

2. A/C only works in 1 and 4 fan position.

3. Motor mounts suck, need AWR front mount.

4. missing center cap, anyone got a spare?

5. Driver's seat squeaks. Have torqued the bolts 3 different times.

6. Belts slipping, missing splash guard under passenger side front.
 
guy's i have the same prob here in the philippines. clunk very annoying sound in the trunk and rear..

1) The annoying clanking and squeeking in all 4 tiers. Change bushing in the front and lubricate in the back. Awaiting to get the new bracket clank fix to install in the back.The lub I use was just a generic grease bought at autozone. It has work so far.
2) Grinding into 3th gear and puping out after let the clutch go. Change gear sycro.
3) Kenwood KDC-MD919 radio has died not come on. Change to new KDC-X969 and the same dame thing. Get a new eclipse AVN 5495. Awesome head. I love the quality sound.
4) Pull a little to the right. Change new tires in the front.

im experiencing a little pull to the right also. even if all tires are balanced and inflated to the right air pressure. but not to hard. juz a little pull.i ges its normal.because here in the philippines, my friends also experienced tese problems in our Lynx RS or MP3.

mine does that as well.

1. dam grinding in 3rd, goin to try oil stabilizer in the tranny fluid.
2. squeeking from the rear bushings
3. pulling to the right
 
ok so it's not an mp3 but i got a few of the same problems

tranny:
just started the grind into third (how much was the bill to ge the synchros replaced, i was plannin on replacin the whole thing but the synchro replace sounds more effective if it's cheaper or comparable) right now i'm just skippin third
hard shiftin into reverse or first when cold, just let off clutch and try again
very hard to shift into 2nd at high rpms, think it's related to worn motor mounts and the tranny movin enough to impede proper linkage movement

others:
rattle from center brake light shroud
rattle on pass door
a/c works only on 1 and 4
HVAC fan died, replaced


and pull to the right, but my caster's out, fixin that when i do eibach's

so far that's it :knock!knock:
and i'm at 117k miles, and countin over 120 everyday

The clunk, as always. I have a dash squeek/rattle that I get at 1250 rpm. Back in january my EGR blew along with the gasket, which in turned made my pre-cat take a s***. that was luckily covered under warranty for new EGR, Gasket and pre-cat cuz it was under 80,000 at the time. Just the other day I was doing about 100 on the highway and it seemed to be lurching a bit. It felt like the rods werent getting proper lube so I thought it was the infamous oil starvation at highspeeds and quick turns so I backed down to 85 and it was fine.

I have that pulling some times too. I guess probably is because the shape of the road. Do yours is always?

even in even or well paved tarmac.. but just a little pull.. ur passengers wont notice it. only us who drive's it.. i still dont know whats the problem with that pulling to the right. all of us experienced it in ou cars. is it normal? and whats with the suspension pulling to the right even well balanced and a new sets of tires??

Your alignment is out. You probably hit a pothole or something at sometime.


I blew the tranny in my MP3. I did a good job of it too. But it's all fixed now, and also installed a LuK clutch. Very smooth.

this hole Lynx RS / MP3. The lynx looks more like a cross between the Focus and a regular Protege. Does it have all the extra suspention components, the deck and woofer like the MP3? (cause that's why it's a MP3 not a Protege)
