Replacing the stock radio

I am looking at a Mazda5 Grand Touring or a Scion XB. Has anyone replaced the stock radio in the Mazda5? Can the steering wheel radio controls be retained? I would like to get the stock Navigation but no dealer around here has one. A few Grand Touring models...but none with nav.

If it helps, here is a thread on an aftermarket Pioneer D3 install I did on my Mazda5. This way I added Nav, and used an adapter to retain my factory steering wheel controls.(naughty)

Get a nice Aftermarket Nav..for great saving.. (portable ones)
