Replacing Front Turn Signal Bulbs - Help

How in the hell am I supposed to do this?
I know for damn sure my hand is not fitting in there. Do you take the headlight assembly off the car?

small cmpetent hands thru the inner fender, or pull the bumper, one side was easier, but I can't remember which

When I changed my bulbs I went threw the fenders, just take out the push pins for the front liners. Tight fit but I was able to get the job done.

Might as well do the turn signal mod if you're switching out bulbs. I have the chrome bulbs, but taped one of the contact points so that it doesn't come on when the headlights are on. This way it only comes on when you use the turn signal, emergency flashers, and when you lock/unlock the car. Much cleaner look at night :)

How do you do that and is it illegal?

Probably not legal, but neither is my 20% tint around. I could go down the list of things that are not legal that local 5-0 doesn't enforce (bunch of illegal HIDs in cars). I can easily take the tape off the bulbs for it to go back to normal. But in the meantime, I'll enjoy the clean look of headlights at night :)

I ended up using a flat head screwdriver to turn the light housing and a spring loaded fishing tool to bring the bulb assembly out to where I could change the bulb.

Went with the chrome/iridescent bulbs, but didn't know about the "tape mod" until now.

If you do the tape mod, you might have to trial and error it as you could be taping off blinker. Tape one point first and see if the running light is disabled. I got one side in one try and the other one I just had to move the tape to the other point of contact.

i just reached in and turned the bulb. I have fat hands. Not sure how anyone else is having an issue with this. The bulbs on the 1G MS3 are really easy.

Do you have a Sport or a GT??

IIRC, I remember reading that the Sport is MUCH easier because of the lack of OEM HID hardware getting in the way...

I ended up just replacing mine when I had the bumper off for something else, as I didn't see how the Hell I was ever gonna fit my hands in there...

It sucked. Scraped the s*** out of my arm and hands. I turned the wheel the opposite side of light I was working on. So if I was working on the left bulb, I would turn the wheel to the right to make more room under the fender. I then took off the pushpins holding the wheel well liner in and reached up and felt around until I could get a hold of the bulb and pull it out. I have a GT.

I have a GT and it is a tight fit...but no reason to go throught the fender or pull the bumper. Just use a long flat head screwdriver to turn the bulb out of the socket, then hold the socket with the hook end of an un-done metal coat hanger, then install bulb. Move socket/bulb assembly back into position and reinstall by turning to lock with the flat head screwdriver. Really the best way to do this, just have a bit of patience.
