replacing factory speakers

Hey, I was wondering if any of you guys have changed them out? If so an recommendations? The factory system is just good enough and I want something better. I spend a lot of time in my "9" and need to hear some better sound. thanks for your feedback.

We have the standard (non-bose) audio system in my wife's CX-9.

Will these speakers make a major difference? The current speakers sound really cheap.

I've thought about doing this same thing.

Want to keep factory head unit for now to keep info buttons and bluetooth.

Heard from others on forum about using JL Cleansweep with amp/aftermarket speakers.

Looking for some improvement in sound, nothing overboard...wondering if replacing speakers alone will give me decent improvement or not.

To replace the factory speakers on a 2010 CX-9, do you have to remove the whole door panel? or can the Speaker Grill itself just be removed.
I would hate to screw up the door panels.

Door panel. Pretty easy to do, though.

Is there a picture walkthrough anywhere. I was able to do a lot of stuff in my scion because there were lots of "DIY Guides". Not much for the CX-9 I guess.

Also, I have a 2010, would it be the same for any cx-9.

Your help is much appreciated!

That looks great. I'll try it out when I get the time and figure out what speakers!
Oh, regarding the Door lock cables, is it easy to put back? I want my doors to be able to lock when i'm done upgrading the speakers haha.
