hey guys i was looking all over for this on the page but couldn't find it....

I want to do a whole list of things to my car but i feel i want to start with the sus/brakes first seeing as how i was always told you can't go fast until yo can stop.

So what i want to know is seeing as how i've always been a really big fan of the sleeper look i want to keep the stock 16's on my P5 but i want to up the rotor size (slotted of course) and possibly switch to a 4pisston caliper....

does anybody out there have any advice on this or have they ever done it before etc?
thanks

Totally uneccessary expense unless you plan on magically stuffin 500hp in there somehow. The stock brakes do just fine but if you must then just score some rotors of the oem size, any of several brands & some upgraded pads & the biggest improvement which is ss lines. I had brembo/hawk setup that went 75k before needing replacement. No track time but let's just say they got similar use on more than a few occassions & more than did the job. Save the money doing big brake kits & spend it on some of the suspension parts. Struts, springs, rr sway, rr stb, trailing links & such.

Unless you drive on high speed track a lot that you need to brake from 100mph every 10 seconds for a few minutes. Well, P5 can't even reach 100 in 10 seconds...

well that's a valid point....but there probably wouldn't be any harm in having the calipers and pads replaced eh

any suggestions?

Doing research and finding a quality pad that suits your needs can go a long way. Have you thought about replacing the brake fluid to a higher dot rating? Calipers would be awesome, but seem extreme. Everybody has a different opinion on the cross or slotted rotors. Go with your gut on that one. I second what Josh said, but in my case I was braking from 90mph every 10 seconds and was getting brake fade. I changed to cross drilled rotors in the front-not sure if they help at all, but they look cool. I went with hawk ceramic all the way around. They brake equivalent to the stock pads, but without the fade. It was also about time to change the fluid, so I did that too. I went with ate super blue. I have had good luck with it on the race track with a couple of porsches I had, and the blue color is really cool because you can tell very easily if it needs replacing.

I found some decent looking OEM rotors made by EBC. Not too familiar with the brand but a few of my friends have them on other model cars and they seem to like them. They're a decent price and come in cross drilled, drilled and slotted, slotted and basic.

you wouldn't happen to have a website for them or something would you?

Are those $20 brake rotor in stores like autozone OEM design? Have anyone used them before?

Looking for replacement rear rotor, nothing special, just want OEM quality.
