Has anyone ever replaced their stock air filter with a replacement filter? Our previous car (2006 Suzuki Swift) had a Simota power filter on it, which was an excellent upgrade for a low price. I was wondering if the Simota repacement inlay power filters did the same for the Mazda :D

I found one on Ebay, $22,95 is the cheapest price i could find and it only costs $15,00 to send to Holland :)

If anybody has experience with these filters, information, photos, links, howto's, anything... post them here! :)

Is that extra .00000001 HP down low or up high in the revs? I need more down low, lol.

I know these filters don't add much hp, but the Simota in the Swift gave a better sound to the engine and better acceleration down low :)

If you can afford it get the Corksport SRI. It sounds AMAZING and it's reusable. Probably 1 extra horsepower..hehe
If you're going with a drop in filter I'd say the Simota or K&N would be great. I have a Spectre drop in filter in my truck and I love it. It was less than $20 US.

The factory intake path is stupid, have you guys looked at where and what the air go before it get in the engine bay? I'm not changing the oem filter for anything else than a CS SRI and Ram Air Box.
