Removing turbo

I was curious how hard is it to remove everything turbo related to the car and what all would need to be done to turn my msp into just a regular protege. I know it sounds stupid but i gave the speed to my mother and there there is signs of oil leaking not sure if its from the turbo but i also have to buy a new radiator for it so i thought while i am replacing the radiator i could take all the turbo stuff of and just make it n/a but i was wandering what all had to be done as far as what i have to take off and what i have to replace? thank you for any help

pull the manifold, turbo, half of the exhaust, intake piping, ecu, radiator, fans, Im sure theres more

then you have to buy a n/a protege header, exhaust, intake, ecu, radiator etc....

you see where Im going w/ this lol

taking everything off takes maybe an hour and its not hard I just pulled everything out. I am sure you would be able to trade someone for all of the n/a stuff you would need plus some money.

interested

Well thank you all for your help and input. Well if anyone is local or willing to drive for the parts i am willing to trade for stock parts plus a very small fee depending on parts dont really feel like dealing with shipping. Since i have no n/a parts i will need everything so it would be easier to do the swap with one person but if there are different local people that need different items thats cool to. Just shoot me a pm if interested and we will go from there. i am looking to do this ASAP or i will be at work till 6 pm tomorrow so dont feel like i forgot you if i dont respond right away.

******* s***. Why do you have to live all the way out in texas? If gas wouldnt cost me just as much as a turbo kit itself, I would drive there and trade the parts out. Damn it just my luck.

seriously just buy a new turbo if thats the part thats leaking...you can prob find one on here too. The amount of s*** you need to do to swap the stuff would just suck

actually all you need to do is take the turbo,mani,s-pipe,ic pipes off, plug the coolant lines take the tee off the back of the block and just have the oil pressure sensor there. then make a custom block off plate for the windage tray return line. get a n/a intake, ecu and manifold w/precat and bolt it up to your j-pipe you dont have to removve half of the exhaust the precat will bolt right up to the msp j pipe. Thats everything that you will have to do.

i would be down to trade you! how far out from houston are you? very interested and will put some cash on top if thats what your asking.
call me if you get this... i am down to do this. PMing now

I have a power point on how Mazda turned the Protege to the MSP...Email me and I will send it over. You could do it backwards...

so lemme get this straight. ur taking the turbo out, converting to n/a because of an oil leak you couldnt diagnose right. real smart. take it to a shop save urself a headache and time and money
