Removing rotors on 2008 CX-9

:
CX-9 Grand Touring
Hi all!! I'm new here and this may have been covered in the past...if it has my apologies for reposting. But, how do you remove the Phillips head bolts that hold the rotors on? I've used all the goodies to no avail. Is there a special trick? Please help as I'm very limited on time and need to get this back on the ground and running ASAP

There is a tool that you can buy at Harbor freight that is a screwdriver you hit with a hammer. The hitting action rotates the driver head and undoes the screw, or you could do what Takehold66 suggests, drill the heads out. Don't worry about replacing the screws as they are only used to hold the rotors on during factory assembly.

+1, it's called an impact driver and works wonders for stuck screws. I took those screws off the first time i rotated my tires just so they won't get rusted in place.

I used a hammer drill with a metal drill bit (as in, drill bit made for metal purposes vs. wood) It seemed to help break it loose.

Hahaha! I fell in love with these things first time I did a broken exhaust manifold stud. I use em on everything now.
