Anything is possible if you've got experience installing remote starters or you know a lot about 12v systems - I probably wouldn't tackle this on your own if you don't though. You need an aftermarket system and to wire the brake wire input on the starter to the car's neutral safety wire. This ensures the car can only start when the car is in neutral. You'll also need to wire a relay at the clutch so that the car thinks the clutch is pressed when it is remote starting (which can only happen if the car is in neutral because of the brake wire input/neutral safety wiring). Other than that you wire it like any other starter (and you keep the starter in automatic transmission mode). When wired correctly it's perfectly safe.
I have a Viper 5901 in my 2009 MS3 GT, and I just added a SmartStart module, so I can start an lock/unlock the car from anywhere through my Droid Pro. Works great - I started my car the other day when I was 10 minutes (at least 3-5 miles) from where the car was parked, it was warm and ready to go when I got there (despite being in a snowstorm). Aftermarket seat heaters are another great option most MS3 owners overlook - they're absolutely possible to install and they're better than any stock seat heaters I've ever used. These two items are definitely my favorite additions to my MS3.
